How to Find Your Name in the Ration Card List 2026
The National Food Security Act (NFSA) beneficiary list is updated regularly. If you have recently applied for a new ration card or added a family member, you can check the official online list to confirm your name is registered. This guide shows you exactly how to find your village or ward list.
Method 1: Download the full list for your village or ward
If you don’t know your ration card number yet, the best way is to open the complete list for your local area (Panchayat or Ward) and search for your name manually.
-
1
Open your browser and visit the central portal at nfsa.gov.in.
-
2
In the top menu, click on “Ration Cards” and then click “Ration Card Details On State Portals”.
-
3
You will see a map and list of all states. Click on your State. You will be redirected to your specific state’s food and civil supplies website.
-
4
Look for a link called “NFSA Eligibility List” (or “राशन कार्ड की पात्रता सूची” in Hindi states). Click on it.
-
5
Select your District from the list. Next, choose your Block / Tehsil (if you live in a rural area) or Town / Municipality (if urban).
-
6
Select your Gram Panchayat or Ward Number. You will see a list of Fair Price Shop (FPS) dealers in that area. Click on the blue hyperlinked number next to your local dealer’s name.
-
7
The complete list of names will appear. Press Ctrl + F (or “Find in Page” on mobile) and type your name.
Pro Tip: Since names are often printed in the state’s local language (Hindi, Marathi, etc.), try searching your Ration Card ID or father’s name if English search fails.
Method 2: Search directly using your Aadhaar or Ration Card Number
If you already have your ration card number or acknowledgement receipt, you don’t need to scroll through long village lists. You can pull up your specific family details directly.
What should I do if my name is missing from the list?
It takes 15 to 30 days for new applications to appear in the online list. First, check your Application Status using your receipt number.
If you did not collect grains for 6 consecutive months, or did not complete Aadhaar eKYC, the system automatically deletes (blocks) your name to prevent misuse.
To add a newlywed wife’s name, you first need a Surrender Certificate (NOC) showing her name was deleted from her father’s ration card. Then apply via your local CSC.
Names are not added automatically. You must submit an online application for “Name Addition” along with the child’s birth certificate and parents’ Aadhaar.
